Perhaps it was his background in the fitness industry, but Downtown Resource Group founder Joe Grunnet felt the Twin Cities urban real estate experience could use some shaping up. The Chicago-area native felt immediately at home in downtown Minneapolis due to its electrifying spirit and the stylish condos and lofts indigenous to the area. Joe started Downtown Resource Group in 2007 to show others what he had found: The perfect setting to live, work, play and build meaningful relationships.
While there seemed to be no shortage of real estate agents who were generalists in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas, Joe noted a distinct lack of focus on this particular residential niche and it’s amenities and nuances. After moving from Montana to St. Paul to acquire her degree in Intercultural Studies, Katrina quickly fell in love with the spirit of Minneapolis and continues to move closer to the heart of the city. While living in the Loring Park neighborhood she is able to truly be connected with this vibrant city and all it has to offer.
Before her transition to Downtown Resource Group, Katrina excelled as a project manager in the marketing and advertising sector where her attention to detail, bright smile, strong communication skills, and “can-do” attitude bought success to each of her clients’ events. Katrina has displayed many talented skills such as attention to detail, attentive follow up, and most of all her great attitude. Aleksa was destined to be in real estate. As a 3rd generation realtor born and raised in Minneapolis, she comes from a family with a long history in real estate & development in the area. Beth Lutgen graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2001 with a BS degree in Finance. She has lived in the Twin Cities since graduating from college and currently resides in a condo in Northeast Minneapolis. When she’s not busy with real estate, Beth loves to travel, attend concerts and spend time with friends and family.

As the daughter of a real estate developer and a wife and mother of three, Minnesota native Marissa Skaja knows the importance of both structure and sensibility. Patrick moved to Minneapolis shortly after graduating from the University of Iowa in 2001. Patrick has worked in sales/client services with companies specifically in the urban market throughout his years in Minneapolis. These years of experience has given him intimate knowledge of the heart of the city, invaluable contacts throughout the business world, and a great understanding of the downtown market. At the inception of Downtown Resource Group, Patrick made a career change and joined Joe Grunnet as the Director of Leasing Services. Patrick’s focus has been to create and grow the Leasing Division of DRG, which has enjoyed great success and a dominant market share in the downtown urban condo and loft leasing market.
Patrick’s specialties include working with investor clients, and matching high end/one of a kind properties with customers who oftentimes require a high level of professionalism, discretion and expertise. Office Manager / Leasing Coordinator
Elly was born in St.Cloud and raised in the Minneapolis area. Elly attended Minnesota School of Business and has 7 years of office management experience. Elly has been known to demonstrate results in high degrees of multi-functioning tasks. Elly has been able to handle several different responsibilities with in the office admin side. Elly is great at problem solving and getting projects accomplished on time. She is always willing and eager to help anyone she can, if you have a question or concern she will try her best to help or direct you to the best person that will be able to help, she is very resourceful and loves to help.
Elly will be working with the day to day office duties that help make our office run smoothly; she is also our Leasing Coordinator. She helps coordinate the leasing process from beginning to end. On her spare time Elly enjoys reading, hanging out with close friends, helping others and making a difference, she is also very goal oriented. Kent Pitlick

Minnesota grown, Kent Pitlick’s specialty is the leasing division for Downtown Resource Group and is focused on the needs and wants of downtown renters. After Graduating from Minnesota State University, Mankato and earning a degree in Business Management with double minors in Marketing and Administrations, Kent gained years of experience in the auto dealership industry, but decided to go back to his original passion of real estate, which stemmed from his early years of managing a small portfolio for his family business.
Kent has since leased and managed residential properties throughout the twin cities for over six years. After living downtown for years, Kent wanted to find and focus on a single area of leasing, the Minneapolis condo market. DRG provided to be that great niche real estate office which shared his passions of the downtown Minneapolis living and the condo market. When not in the office, Kent enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, beagle, and lifelong friends.

Erin was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota. Upon high school graduation she chose to venture off to Minneapolis to attend the University of St. Thomas. After earning her degree in Marketing and studying abroad in Italy, she merged into a corporate sales job. While in this position she gained valuable experience and excelled. However; Erin saw that the downtown housing market was developing in a new and exciting way which prompted her to change career path.
Erin was introduced to Downtown Resource Group as a referral and loved the idea of what DRG brings to the Downtown Market and the overall feel of the culture within this boutique real estate office. Born and raised in the Twin Cities, Matt has a unique fascination and appreciation for the history of Minnesota. He is currently finishing his degree at Bethel University, where he is studying Communications & Leadership.
